The USGA rules of golf will be strictly enforced with the following modifications:

 

As provided in Rule 33-8a, the Committee may make and publish Local Rules for local abnormal conditions.

 

Playing Handicap:  Each player will receive 85% of their course handicap

 

Optional Side Games: Team Skins                   $30/team

                                      Deuce Pot                     $10/Player

 

  • It shall be a condition of the tournament that the club dress code shall be adhered to at all times while on club property.  Collared shirts are required.  No metal spikes are allowed on the premises.  Breach of this condition shall result in disqualification.

 

  • There are optional drop areas provided near holes 2, & 5 greens for any ball crossing the margin of the lateral water hazard between the blue-tipped stakes. The drop area is considered to be an additional option under Rule 26-1.

 

  • There is an optional drop area on hole 4 & 5 for any player who does not cross the lateral hazard with his tee shot. The drop area for #4 is located on the right side of the lake in the same area as the white tee box is located. The Drop area for #5 is located just over the culvert to the left of the cart path.  The drop area is considered to be an additional option under Rule 26-1.

 

  • If a ball comes to rest in the flower bed by hole 8 tee or in the gravel area behind 7 green or 8 tee, drop areas have been provided near the pond and in front of 8 tee for free relief.  If you decide to use the drop area then the closest drop circle must be used.  The drop area near the pond may also be used as an option under Rule 26 if a player has hit a ball into the water from the tee.

 

  • Free relief is provided from all drainage ditches and trenches and are not otherwise marked as a water hazard.  The ditch just left of the cart path on #16 is not considered a drainage ditch and no relief shall be granted from it.

 

  • Free relief is provided from all staked trees. Relief should be taken in accordance with the procedure prescribed in rule 24-2b (Immoveable Obstruction).

 

  • Free relief is provided from all flower beds.

 

  • If a ball strikes the telephone wires (not poles) between holes 1 & 18, the ball must be replayed. Telephone poles shall be played as immovable obstructions.

 

  • If there is any question or disagreement on how to proceed, play another ball in accordance with Rule 3-3 and bring the situation to the pro shop for a ruling.
